Friday Whatsit for July 9, 2010
Ah, another week, another Friday Whatsit.
I found this thing lying on the ground a year or so ago and shot some images on our little Leica widefield microscope. This one is at about 60x normal size and shot with plain white light.
Some hints: It was shot with white light, so you know it really is blue and brown, and the light shines through it well enough. These are not an uncommon sight in the American upper Midwest in the summertime. I don’t think whoever lost it will miss it too much, they have tons more where this came from.
